Hello again! Another week, another post! It’s been quite an interesting week with me; we had a huge old tree fall down in our garden-luckily without anyone under it. Due to it’s size, the only way to get rid of it is with a bonfire, which is now into it’s seventh day! As I enter week 37 of 2020 then, it with the expectation that I’ll be out in the garden again soon in old clothes that reek of smoke!
Bonfires aside, the past week has been a good one. My job hunting has got off to a great start with an interview from my first application! I thought the interview went well, but even if I don’t end up with that role, it’s great to get such a positive start.
I’ve gone for quite a subdued Harry Potter theme this week. As I mentioned on my monthly setup, I think purple and gold are a great magical combo. I didn’t want to go full house-mad my first week, so I think this is a nice, understated first week; although watch out for some house pride throughout the rest of the month!
Regarding Harry Potter, I was lucky enough to find some stickers today, so they’ll hopefully make an appearance over the next couple of weeks. I also got my hands on this years’ Harry Potter Lego Advent Calendar! I had one last year and loved it, so was pleased to get my hands on one this year- even if it’ll be three months until I can start opening it!
On a more serious note, it’s been a bit weird this week living at home. After being self-sufficient for four years, being back living at home is a little strange. Not negatively, just something to get used to; which I guess goes both ways! It’s a situation I think a lot of young adults are in at the moment and one that requires thoughtfulness and adaptability all around.
That’s it for me today! I know it’s a short one, but I’m itching to get out and play with our big bonfire. What it is about playing with (contained) fire that’s so addictive? I wish you all the best, and hope your week 37 of 2020 lives up to your expectations!
