I’m really looking forwards to Christmas this year. There hasn’t been a lot to celebrate in 2020, so a festive mood is overdue! Because of the amazing perseverance of Victorians over the last few months, we’ve had a month of no COVID cases. It’s amazing, and means that we’re going to be able to have a semi-normal Christmas here! I was determined to make this December festive in my Bullet Journal, so week 49 of 2020 begins on Tuesday to capture as much holiday spirit as possible.

As you will see in when I share my full December setup, my Christmas theme is very random! I’m a stickler for a traditional colour scheme and wanted to incorporate some old paper, but apart from that, there’s no consistency. As long as my pages are bright and festive, I’m not fussed about the details!
My layout this week is a little different from normal as Monday isn’t included, but still features my regular sections. I also had a bit more room to play around with scrapbook elements. I think that my Bullet Journal is going to be a great reflection of how I enjoy my Christmas: colourful, cheerful, and a little bit chaotic!

Week 49 Personal Update
For the first time, I can remember, getting the house decorated for Christmas is going to be a whole-family affair! Dad was often away for work over Christmas, so it was either the two of us or a solo job. As hopefully by this time next year, we’ll be in new houses, this is also the last hurrah.
This week I’m also really looking forward to breaking out my advent calendars! After loving it last year, I’ve got the Lego Harry Potter (AF) one again! Advent calendars have always been part of our Christmas tradition- and just because I’m an adult now that doesn’t have to end!
I hope you’re also looking forward to Christmas, and that week 49 of 2020 treats you well. It’s going to be a difficult season for a lot of people, but I also think it’s a great opportunity to make new traditions. Spend time with the people who matter most and enjoy the simple things. I wish you all the best for the whole festive season, and hope, however you celebrate it, that it’s one to remember (for positive reasons!)
